Operations Manager

The Operations Manager is responsible for supporting the Executive Director in carrying out administrative duties to keep Lake County Council on Aging’s programs running efficiently and smoothly. This includes keeping paperwork up to date and organized following all best practices, generally accepted accounting principles, and state and federal grant guidelines.

 

Skills Needed:

 

Data collection, compilation, and research

Proficient in Microsoft word, excel, and powerpoint

Quickbooks Online experience preferred but not required

Proficient with Google Business Suite

Professional communication skills in person, through email, and by phone

Attention to detail

 

 

Most importantly the ability to research and learn quickly and efficiently and apply this knowledge to daily business operations.

 

 

Desk Duties:

 

Scanning and electronically filing paperwork

Paying bills electronically or by check

Ordering office supplies

Receiving client payments into the systems

Volunteer Management

Payroll Management

Bank Deposits

Update and maintain employee files.

Record Information & Assistance phone calls throughout the month and input into Capstone.

Fill in for the Transportation Coordinator, Commodities Manager, HomeServices Supervisor, Drivers, and Homemakers, Respite

Caregivers, Farmer’s Market Coupon Manager, and other assigned tasks as needed.

Oversee that programs are operating smoothly and reports are in on time from all program heads

Delegate work as employees are capable and have time to take it on

Prepare program reports as directed by the Executive Director

Scheduling and Appointments

Marketing

 

Field Duties:

Make home calls for I & As

Posting of open positions

Gives presentations about LCCOA services

Attends continuing education

Develops a professional relationship with other organizations in Lake County to coordinate efforts

Make home calls to interview and sign clients up for home services if subbing for Home Services Supervisor

 

Pay: Wage is dependent upon experience and education. No health insurance is currently available but after a probationary period there are 26 days of paid leave per year available.

 

 

Performs related duties as assigned OR where you see a need.

 

This position is funding in part by the FTA and as such the application will be required to take a pre-employment drug test and random tests thereafter.
